When I grow up I want to be a veterinarian

When I Grow Up Series has made such a big impression at my house.  These books have been an instant hit with my grandchildren and an even bigger hit with me.  Here's why,  I love a book that broadens their minds and encourages them to ask more questions,  notice more things and is able to quench their curiosity.
This particular book  "When I Grow Up I Want To Be A Veterinarian"  has fulfilled my expectations and more.  The story starts out with a little girl that loves animals and dreams of someday being able to have a pet of her own. That in itself is something that I know most children could relate to and it's what I love about these books, they appeal to a wider audience of children because their curiosity is universal.
The story really takes off when the little girl Sofia finds a stray cat and starts feeding it.  Her parents decide that the cat should be taken to the veterinarian and from there the story becomes a wonderful lesson about animals, their habits, their health and what it takes to be able to care for them.   I love the way this book addresses so many topics regarding all types of animals including dogs, cats, horses, birds, reptiles and  wildlife.  Kids will learn about how to become good pet owner as well as what makes a good veterinarian.   Sofia is inspired by all that she has learned and discovers that she would like to be an animal doctor when she grows up. I'm totally delighted whenever a book  interests and entertains my grandchildren as well as the books in the When I Grow Up Series have.   When I Grow Up I Want To Be A Firefighter  is still a big hit with them.  You can check out my review here   When I grow Up

I received this book by request from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.   You can find out more about books and the publisher at When I grow up books
